How to Become a MemberThe Meat Trade Institute is now accepting new memberships for operators in the meat and/or poultry industry located in the Northeast United States (Delaware to Maine). The Institute is also accepting memberships to any operator in the world and ALL suppliers to the meat & poultry trade. Regular Memberships:In order to qualify as a regular member, your company must be a packer, processor, wholesaler, distributor, broker or other company engaged in the direct or indirect production or distribution of meat and/or poultry products in the Northeast United States. Membership dues are assessed based on the size and number of employees that each member company has. This means that smaller operators pay a smaller membership fee than larger members. Associate Membership:In order to qualify as an ASSOCIATE member, your company must be a packer, processor, wholesaler, distributor, broker or other company engaged in the direct or indirect production or distribution of meat and/or poultry products OUTSIDE the Northeast United States. OR: Your company must be a supplier of goods and/or services to the meat and poultry industry. Supplier companies can be located ANYWHERE. Associate membership dues are $400 per year. Benefits of Associate Membership include all the benefits of regular membership EXCEPT representation before regulatory bodies or legal representation in collective bargaining disputes or negotiations.
