041135 McDonald's to Expand Ronald McDonald HouseNovember 9, 2004Phoenix, AZ - Valley McDonald's restaurants have launched the "Give A Hand" fund-raising campaign for the expansion of the Ronald McDonald House of Phoenix, where families of hospitalized children can stay the night or grab a meal or shower. Today through Nov. 20, customers can purchase and personalize paper cut-out hands for $1, and post them in participating McDonald's restaurants. Proceeds from selected menu items also will benefit the cause. The Ronald McDonald House of Phoenix needs to raise $6.2 million in order to double its size with 20 new family bedrooms, and expanded library, dining and kitchen areas. McDonald's officials also hope to build a second Ronald McDonald House in Phoenix in the future.
