041133 Restaurant Delivery Service Signs 50th NYC McDonald's

November 9, 2004

New York - Delivery.com, New York City's largest online marketplace of restaurants and specialty food stores, this week signed on its 50th McDonald's restaurant in New York City to it's growing list of online merchants and food retailers. It simultaneously announced a joint marketing promotion with selected McDonald's restaurants in Manhattan to provide customers ordering online with food specials and "DeliveryPoints".

"Delivery.com's long history of providing online food ordering and delivery to residents of New York makes it a natural partner for us in enabling an online channel for satisfying our customers," said Howard Wiener, Chief Administrative Officer of 21st Century LP1. 21st Century is a franchise group that owns and operates 17 McDonald's locations, 13 in Manhattan, the largest such operator in the borough. Delivery.com's 50 active McDonald's restaurants include Bronx and Brooklyn locations, in addition to Manhattan.

During the promotion, customers who order online at www.mcdonalds.delivery.com and enter a promotion code upon checkout will receive a free bottle of water with purchase of premium salad, free delivery, and potentially 1,000 DeliveryPoints - which are redeemable toward cash or prizes at delivery.com.

"We're pleased to be able to enroll and reward McDonald's customers who are new users to Delivery.com with 1,000 DeliveryPoints, which they can use toward assorted prizes, cash, or airline miles," said Delivery.com CEO Paul Geller. "It's a great way to get rewards just for eating."

Delivery.com will follow this promotion with a more general promotion targeting nearly 300,000 Manhattan residents with the opportunity to win up to a year of free lunches if their employers sign up for a Delivery.com corporate account. Interested customers can see www.delivery.com/freelunch for details.

Delivery.com has approximately 500 member restaurants, including sandwich and burger chains such as Wendy's, Subways, Quiznos, and Ranch 1. Other merchants range from Khyber Grill and high-end restaurants, to local favorites Katz's Delicatessen and Veniero's. Consumers can also place mail or delivery orders through specialty and gourmet food sites including Beluga Caviar, Dean & Deluca, Fifth Avenue Chocolatier, Grace's Marketplace, New York Steak and Seafood, and ABC The Cigar Store.
