030129 Sara Lee Names Head of Meat DivisionJanuary 16, 2003Chicago -- Packaged goods giant Sara Lee Corp. has named Robert S. Kopriva president and chief executive of its meats business, the company announced. Kopriva, 51, has worked for Sara Lee since 1981 and was named a senior vice president of the Chicago- based corporation in 2002. He will head Cincinnati-based Sara Lee Foods, which is among the world's leading manufacturers of packaged meat products. Its brands include Jimmy Dean, Ball Park and Hillshire Farm. Kopriva, whose appointment was effective Jan. 1, replaces William A. Geoppinger, 63, who retired Dec. 31. Sara Lee Corp.'s products range from Earth Grains breads to Chock Full O' Nuts coffee to Playtex underwear.
