Lederhausen, 39, will assume the post of president, McDonald's business development, reporting to Jim Skinner, vice chairman of McDonald's Corp. Most recently Lederhausen served as executive vice president, strategy and business development. His appointment to the new position, which includes oversight of non-hamburger brands like Mexican chain Chipotle, fills a void that was created when Russ Smyth, prior head of the non-hamburger brands, last week assumed leadership of Oak Brook, Illinois-based McDonald's European operations.
