020909 Pure Lean Secures Hog Supply Agreement

Medicine Hat, Alberta - Robert W. Notenbomer, Chief Executive Officer, is pleased to announce a hog supply agreement for their hog finishing operation. The agreement will see feeder hogs supplied through Select Pork Systems Inc. of Winnipeg, Manitoba. First shipment of hogs is to arrive at the Pure Lean Bow Island operation on August 30th, 2002. Pure Lean will realize the benefit of a guaranteed price per hog shipped to market as well as a profit share on any potential amount over the guaranteed price. Select Pork offers a finisher pig management system (11lb-280lb) that is 80%-100% risk managed from supply to market as well as Production Consulting, Slaughter Marketing, Risk Management, and Financing. Select Pork Systems Inc. is a company formed by TSC International Inc., the largest independent feeder pig broker in Western Canada and Phoenix AgriTech Inc., the largest trader on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange in Western Canada.
