010453 Texas Beef Industry Introduces New LogoApril 22, 2001Texas beef producers are introducing a new statewide logo for meat products in a move to promote quality assurance. The here's-the-beef logo is already in use within recipe booklets issued by the Texas Beef Council and by some food companies selling ready-to-eat meals at supermarkets. The logo could be posted outside a cattle ranch entrance, on stationery and on a supermarket's meat section. Officials say quality assurance has been the meat industry's top priority dating back to the 1980s.
