010402 Wendy's March Same-Store Sales Up 2.6%April 8, 2001Dublin, OH - No. 3 U.S. hamburger chain Wendy's International Inc. said U.S. same-store sales grew by about 2.6% in March and it expected positive growth trends to continue in the months ahead. Same-store March U.S. sales had risen 5.4% in March 2000. Same-store sales at Tim Hortons restaurants in Canada jumped by about 10%, while at Tim Hortons in the U.S. comparable store sales grew by about 8%. ``We are optimistic about continuing to produce sales growth due to our systemwide focus on restaurant operations and quality products,'' Wendy's said.
