010223 Cargill Unionized Employees Ratify AgreementFebruary 10, 2001High River, Alberta - Cargill Foods and its unionized employees reached a new four-year labour agreement this past Friday, with employees ratifying the new contract agreement by over 62%. Cargill Limited's Assistant Vice President, James Dolynchuk, said the company is pleased with the positive outcome of the labor negotiations. “This agreement will enable us to attract high quality, skilled employees while at the same time recognize the value our current employees bring to our business. It will also enable us to continue to provide our customers with unsurpassed products and service,” he said. Cargill Foods is a division of Cargill Limited, one of Canada's largest agricultural merchandisers and processors. The company, which is headquartered in Winnipeg, Manitoba, has interests in meat and oilseed processing, feed, seed, flax fibre and fertilizer manufacturing, as well as grain handling and merchandizing.
