Eden Prairie, MN - Famous Dave's of America, Inc. and Hormel Foods Corporation announce a major initiative in which Hormel Foods will produce, market and distribute four retail barbecue meat products featuring Famous Dave's award-winning “Rich and Sassy” sauce. Over the next several months, consumers will be able to find HORMEL Fully Cooked Entrees featuring Famous Dave's Rich & Sassy BBQ Sauce in the refrigerated meat section of grocery stores nationwide.

These fresh, barbecue entrees will be available in Sliced Beef Brisket with Famous Dave's Rich & Sassy BBQ Sauce, Sliced Pork with Famous Dave's Rich & Sassy BBQ Sauce, Shredded Beef with Famous Dave's Rich & Sassy BBQ Sauce and Pulled Pork with Famous Dave's Rich & Sassy BBQ Sauce varieties. Each barbecue entree includes easy cooking instructions and takes just seven minutes to heat and serve. The addition of a simple side dish can make a quick barbecue meal, requiring virtually no cleanup.

The barbecue entrees will expand the current line of Hormel Fully Cooked Entrees, offering a complete line of convenient, fresh, fully cooked meat products that are quick and easy to prepare, meeting the needs of today's time- conscious consumers. The current product line consists of such entrees as Beef Roast Au Jus, Pork Roast Au Jus, Beef Tips with Gravy and Meat Loaf with Tomato Sauce. All entrees are presented in a heat and serve package requiring minimal preparation and cleanup. Each package comes with simple cooking instructions and recipes for creating old-fashioned favorites. All entrees are priced between $4.99 and $5.99 and offer 2-3 servings per microwavable container to promote easy preparation.
