That's because May 2000 marks the national rollout of Boston Market Home Style Meals, a new line of frozen entrees, main dishes and sides from Heinz Frozen Food Company that brings the Boston Market restaurant experience into the home kitchen. “The combination of two great brand names -- Heinz and Boston Market -- will be a winning recipe,” said Neil Harrison, president and chief executive officer of Heinz Frozen Food Company. “Boston Market Home Style Meals deliver the quality and taste people expect from Boston Market, with signature recipes and generous portions.” The national launch of Boston Market Home Style Meals comes on the heels of a successful regional launch on the West Coast. “The West Coast launch exceeded our expectations with a very strong trial rate by consumers,” said Michael Walters, general manager of marketing for Heinz Frozen Food Company. The new product line features 16 varieties of Boston Market Home Style Meals, including seven single-serve meals, four meat and poultry varieties and five individual side dishes. The seven single-serve Boston Market Home Style Meals are Oven Roasted Chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy; Oven Roasted Chicken with stuffing and gravy; Grilled Chicken Breast Fillet with barbecue glaze and garlic dill potatoes; Country Fried Chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy; Oven Roasted Turkey Medallions with stuffing and gravy; Oven Roasted Turkey Medallions with mashed potatoes and gravy; and Meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy. Suggested retail prices for the meals range from $3.89 to $4.29, and portions range from 13.5 ounces to 16 ounces. The four meat and poultry entrees are Meatloaf with gravy; Oven Roasted Turkey Medallions with gravy; Oven Roasted Chicken (leg quarter); and Oven Roasted Chicken (breast quarter). The five individual side dishes, packaged separately, are Mashed Potatoes, Macaroni & Cheese, Creamed Spinach, Garlic Dill New Potatoes and Sweet Corn. Heinz is producing Boston Market Home Style Meals through an exclusive trademark licensing agreement that was announced last year. Heinz is producing Boston Market Home Style Meals at its facilities in Massillon, Ohio, and Pocatello, Idaho.
