000666 Fletcher's Fine Foods Changes Corporate NameJune 26, 2000Vancouver, BC - Fletcher's Fine Foods Ltd. announced that at the Corporation's Annual General and Special Meeting held on June 6th, 2000 its Shareholders resolved to change the name of the Corporation to "Premium Brands Inc." The name "Premium Brands Inc." was chosen as it reflects the Corporation's evolution from a single brand meat processing business to a consumer products company, with numerous operating subsidiaries, manufacturing and marketing products under various leading brand names. The Corporation has now completed the formal change of its name, and will begin trading under the corporate name "Premium Brands Inc." on The Toronto Stock Exchange on Monday, June 26, 2000. The Corporation will continue to trade under its present symbol "FFF" for the immediate future. The Corporation also wishes to announce that Mr. Richard Klassen, Executive Vice-President of the Foods & Industrial Group, Saskatchewan Wheat Pool has been appointed the new Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Corporation effective June 6th, 2000. Fletcher's has been engaged in the food processing business since 1917 and has manufacturing facilities in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Oregon, Saskatchewan and Washington.
