000511 Tyson Says US Investigating Poultry PlantMay 16, 2000Washington - Tyson Foods Inc. said that federal prosecutors are looking into possible violations of environmental laws or regulations at a Missouri facility. The U.S. attorney's office for the Western District of Missouri is looking into possible infractions at Tyson's Sedalia, Mo., plant where it has processing, feed meal and hatchery operations as well as an animal protein facility. “Neither the likelihood of an unfavourable outcome nor the amount of ultimate liability, if any, with respect to this investigation can be determined at this time,” Tyson said in its quarterly report filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission, where the investigation was first revealed.
