To help meat industry members through the long and complicated
process of gaining HACCP approval, the Meat Trade Institute is offering the required HACCP
workshops at various times and locations.
The last seminar was successfully completed at the Newark Airport Marriot Hotel
in New Jersey.
The workshops cover the following:
- The Seven HACCP principles;
- HACCP Implementation guidelines, and;
- Employee training.
HACCP participants learn to develop and implement HACCP regulations in their
companies.
Please note that this course is REQUIRED of all
industry members who need to initiate HACCP plans next January (plants with 10
to 500 employees). Thats only seven months away! Please dont make the mistake
of assuming that USDA will come to your rescue at the last minute if your HACCP plan has
not been approved. And dont make the mistake of thinking that you can wait to
address this issue later.
