Sixty years ago it was common for homemakers to spend hours preparing dinner. Today, home cooks need fast, easy, healthy meal solutions. From whole chicken dinners to marinated boneless skinless chicken breasts to ready-to-heat entrees and eat, Foster Farms has evolved with cooking and eating styles and has continued to offer new and convenient ways to prepare nutritious and wholesome meals. Foster Farms was founded in 1939 by Max and Verda Foster who borrowed $1,000 against a life insurance policy to purchase an 80-acre farm near Modesto, Calif. The Fosters built a small barn and began raising turkeys. Within a few years, they purchased a second farm and switched from turkeys to chickens. Today family owned Foster Farms is the largest poultry producer in the Western United States.
