990327 NC Pork Council Hosts “The Taste of Elegance”

Raleigh, NC - Wake Medical Center's Intensive Care Nursery will benefit from proceeds raised in conjunction with the NC Pork Council's chef's competition, The Taste of Elegance, on Sunday, March 14th, at the Bishop's House at St. Mary's College on Hillsborough Street in Raleigh.

Eight chefs will compete by cooking original and elegant pork recipes, while food enthusiasts watch the judges select one chef to win $1,000 in cash and a trip to participate in the National Taste of Elegance Competition in Washington D.C.

The public is invited to attend, view the competition, sample wonderful pork dishes, and participate in the silent auction for WakeMed's Intensive Care Nursery. A $5 donation to the March of Dimes is requested, and all proceeds directly benefit the Intensive Care Nursery at Wake Medical Center. Each participating chef will donate a gift certificate from his or her restaurant.
