Detroit, MI - Hygrades is recalling thousands of packages of its hot dogs because of possible bacterial contamination. The Detroit-based company is recalling 72,000 packages of hot dogs made with chicken and pork. The Michigan Department of Agriculture discovered that the packages could contain a bacteria that causes a sickness called listeriosis. Symptoms include fever, muscle aches, and nausea. The company says no illnesses have been reported so far.
