Saint Paul, MN - A new device in grocery stores will let people know about the quality of food. The Three-M MonitorMark is a label that tells consumers what their food has been through... in terms of time and temperature. Marketing Manager Rich Matner says the device contains a tape that changes color as the product is exposed to different temperatures. The color also changes with the length of time the food is exposed to different temperatures. Matner says Three- M is test-marketing the new label in the meat department at Cub Foods. He says the company is also in talks with other manufacturers.
