Fredericksburg, PA - Pennsylvania State Agriculture Secretary Samuel Hayes has announced a deal that will send more than 100,000 pounds of poultry to Asia. The chicken comes from a Farmer's Pride plant in Central Pennsylvania... which was visited by Japanese food-industry representatives after Governor Tom Ridge's trade mission to Asia last year. The Pennsylvania poultry is destined for upscale shops in Japan, where demand is said to be especially high for high-quality, all-natural meats.
