Dublin, OH - Wendy's International Inc. said it signed a franchise agreement with Wencol S.A. to develop 24 Wendy's Old Fashioned Hamburgers Restaurants over a three-year period in Colombia.
Wencol S.A. is owned primarily by Colombian businessmen Antonio and Eduardo Robayo Ferro, who currently operate 93 Kokoriko Restaurants in Colombia, with a menu consisting primarily of chicken products.
They are also involved in Diners Club of Colombia, several banking, leasing, and insurance companies, and a modern poultry processing facility.
The Wendy's business will be operated, under their direction, by Jorird South American country, the company said, with 14 Wendy's restaurants in Venezuela and 15 in Argentina opened over the past two years.
