Clearwater, FL - Rally's Hamburgers, Inc. announced the appointment of Harvey Fattig as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Fattig will also hold this position with Checkers Drive-In Restaurants, Inc.
Fattig has extensive operations experience in the quick service segment of the restaurant industry. He served with Griff's Hamburger's in Dallas, Texas for 14 years, the last 6 years as vice president. Fattig accepted a position as director of regional franchise operations for Taco Bell in 1978. He was appointed vice president of ConAgra's Taco Plaza division in 1981.
Fattig joined Long John Silver's in 1990 and was named vice president of operations for North Texas in 1991. After leading his area to record high sales and operating results, Fattig was named a regional vice president in 1997.
Jay Gillespie, chief executive officer of Rally's, calls Fattig a "true operating professional. His 35 years of successful results in the QSR segment will allow him to make an immediate impact on the company's return to performance excellence."
Fattig, who raised his family in Dallas, Texas, will relocate to Clearwater, Florida to assume his new responsibilities.
Rally's also announced today a correction to the fourth quarter and fiscal year end per share results released on Friday, February 20, 1998. Upon recalculation of the weighted average of common shares outstanding during the relative periods, the net loss for the fourth quarter and the year expressed on a per share basis was found to be $.12 and $.22 respectively.
Rally's Hamburgers, Inc., along with its franchisees, operates approximately 477 double drive-thru hamburger restaurants primarily located in the Midwest.
